FLT Counterbalance Driver – Rotherham

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our well-established client based in Parkgate Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and the potential to secure a permanent position.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Forklift Truck Driver, FLT Operator or Counterbalance Truck Operative.

Shifts:

• Rotating weekly: Monday to Friday, 05:45 – 14:00 / 13:45 – 22:00

Rates of Pay: £12.71 – £13.58 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a FLT Counterbalance Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Safely operating a counterbalance FLT to load and unload trailers
• Moving stock from deliveries and preparing goods for despatch
• Completing pre-shift safety checks and required documentation
• Driving safely with consideration for load type, surface conditions, and the surrounding environment
• Stacking and storing pallets efficiently while maintaining care and accuracy
• Reporting any damage to pallets, goods, or equipment immediately

Essential Skills:

To be successful in this role as a FLT Counterbalance Driver you must have:

• A valid RTITB or ITSSAR-accredited counterbalance FLT licence
• A minimum of two years’ experience operating a counterbalance FLT
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of health and safety procedures

Desirable Experience:

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Immediate availability

Training:

• Full site training with ongoing support throughout your assignment
