Are you an experienced accountancy professional who enjoys working closely with clients and providing more than just compliance services?

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established and growing accountancy practice in north west London, which is looking for a Senior Client Advisor to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a genuine interest in understanding clients, their businesses and their goals. You will manage a portfolio of clients, providing a broad range of accounting and advisory services while building long-term relationships.

As Senior Client Advisor, you will act as a trusted point of contact for a varied portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.
    • Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
    • Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
    • Supporting clients with tax compliance and general accounting queries.
    • Preparing VAT returns and other relevant submissions.
    • Providing practical accounting and business advice to clients.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve clients' financial processes and performance.
    • Managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
    • Reviewing work and providing guidance to more junior members of the team.
    • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the practice to deliver excellent client service.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' previous experience within an accountancy practice and be confident dealing directly with clients.

You will ideally have:
  • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and UK accounting principles.
    • Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
    • Good knowledge of personal and/or corporation tax.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • The ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines.
    • A proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
    • AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification, part-qualified status, or be qualified by experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking accountancy practice where you will have the opportunity to develop strong client relationships, broaden your advisory experience and progress your career.

If you're an experienced practice professional who enjoys working with clients and is looking for a role where you can make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
