E-ACT Pathways Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant with a SEND specialism to join our committed team. In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and independence, and make meaningful progress both academically and personally.

Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive, nurturing, and student-centred learning environment where every learner is valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide targeted support for students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom, to enable them to access learning and achieve their potential.
• Work closely with teachers to adapt activities, resources, and learning approaches to meet individual student needs.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting confidence, independence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
• Assist in managing behaviour positively and consistently, in line with academy policies and individual support strategies.
• Monitor, record, and report on student progress, achievements, and wellbeing to teaching staff and SEND professionals.
• Support students during lessons, breaktimes, educational visits, and other academy activities as required.

Pay range: SCP4-6 - £20,098.78 - £20,740.77 - FTE: £26,016.00 - £26,847.00 - 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Qualifications and Skills:

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience of supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to adapt learning activities and support strategies to meet individual student needs.
