About the role
Morson Edge are recruiting for a Logistics Transport Media Manager who will play a key role in shaping the clients future supply chain by ensuring the right Material Delivery Units (MDUs) and Overseas Delivery Units (ODUs) are available, maintained, and optimised to support production across Broughton, Filton and our global FALs. You’ll join a proactive, solution‑driven Control Tower team focused on planning capacity, improving delivery concepts, driving repair and maintenance oversight, and enabling new transport solutions. Purpose: Ensure the right volume, condition, and availability of Material Delivery Units (MDUs) and Overseas Delivery Units (ODUs) to support production rate, ramp‑up, and ongoing logistics operations. This sits within the Transport Media Management Control Tower (PIOWL).
Core mission: Forecast, plan, source, maintain, improve, and optimise delivery units while enabling new logistics concepts and supporting procurement, projects, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities

MDU/ODU Planning — Forecast and source required capacities to support rate and ramp‑up.

Stakeholder Coordination — Act as focal point between operational logistics, project teams, procurement, and service providers.

Continuous Improvement — Develop and implement improvements to MDU/ODU concepts, designs, and delivery solutions.

Repair & Maintenance Oversight — Monitor LSP/PSP maintenance and ensure units are repaired or replaced.

Procurement Interface — Support Call‑for‑Tender processes for sourcing MDUs/ODUs.

CapEx/OpEx Management — Manage and monitor investment and operational expenditure.

Risk & Opportunity Management — Identify, track, and mitigate risks related to transport media availability.

Candidate Profile — Skills & Competencies

Degree in business, economics, engineering, ideally logistics/supply chain.

Understanding of logistics landscape (strong preference).

Knowledge of delivery concepts, technical drawings, construction (bonus).

Project management experience (LBIP, Agile).

Strong communication & stakeholder management.

Ability to structure complex contexts for senior management.

Analytical, proactive, self-driven mindset.

Fluent English.
