Weekend Nanny R2008

A family are looking for a warm, capable and energetic weekend nanny to help care for their three boys, aged 5, 9 and 11, at their family home in the Cotswolds.

Hours: Approximately 8:00am–6:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays

Term: UK school term time, initially until December, and then again for the summer term

Driving: Full driving licence and own car essential. Reasonable mileage expenses will be paid.

The role is a mixture of childcare, driving and light household duties relating to the children. Their weekends can be busy, so they are looking for someone organised and proactive who is equally happy taking the boys out and about or keeping things running smoothly at home.

Responsibilities

·       Caring for three boys aged 5, 9 and 11

·       Driving them to and from football, playgroups, birthday parties, playdates and other weekend activities

·       Planning occasional outings and activities and keeping the boys entertained at home

·       Preparing simple, healthy children’s meals and snacks

·       Helping to keep the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised

·       Making the boys’ beds and changing bedding when required

·       Washing, folding and putting away the boys’ clothes

·       Keeping toys, games and children’s belongings organised

·       Tidying the kitchen after children’s meals and helping to keep family areas orderly

·       Generally helping weekends run smoothly and being willing to muck in where needed

About you

The family are looking for someone who is kind, reliable, sensible and confident with three active boys of different ages. You should be comfortable driving children and managing a busy weekend schedule independently.

A full driving licence and your own reliable car are essential. They will reimburse reasonable mileage incurred while working.

You don’t need to be an accomplished cook, but you should be comfortable preparing straightforward children’s meals. Someone who enjoys cooking or baking would be particularly welcome, as the boys enjoy both.

Previous professional childcare experience. The family would particularly value someone who is proactive and has the confidence to see what needs doing.
