Part Time Nanny/Housekeeper R2013

Housekeeper / Nanny – 3 or 4 Days a Week is required for a blended family of 7, the five children are aged G 9, B 9, B 7, B 6 and B 5.

There will only be sole charge of three of the children, when there are 5 in the house the mum will be there.

They are independent children who love being active, playing outdoors, playing Lego, crafts and sports.

The family are looking for a reliable, easy-going and proactive Housekeeper/Nanny to join their family and help keep the home running smoothly.

At the moment, the role is more heavily focused on housekeeping, including a thorough domestic clean and general household tasks including laundry. However, the circumstances may change over the coming months, so they are looking for someone who is adaptable and happy to flex between housekeeping and childcare, depending on what is needed.

The role:

* 3 or 4 days per week
* Ideally 7-hour days
* Typical hours: 11am–6pm, with one day a week potentially 1pm–8pm
* Monday–Wednesday or Monday–Thursday
* During school holidays, there will be more childcare and hours may vary, for example 9am–4pm
* Occasional babysitting, overnight stays and weekend childcare may also be required

Salary

£18–£20 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities will include:

* Full domestic cleaning and keeping the house tidy and organised
* General household tasks and helping things run smoothly
* Looking after the children when required, including school runs
* Providing occasional babysitting and overnight or weekend childcare
* Being flexible about the balance of housekeeping and childcare as their needs change
* Being proactive and seeing what needs doing without always being asked

The family are looking for someone who is warm, trustworthy, easy-going and willing to get stuck in. Ideally, you will take pride in maintaining a home and be equally comfortable getting on with household jobs independently or providing fun, attentive childcare when needed.

This would suit someone who enjoys a varied role and is happy to be flexible as our family’s needs evolve.
