Secondary Teaching Assistant | DN6 | Immediate Start | £95 to £115 per day

Provide Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in the DN6 area. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support secondary aged students with their education, development and wider pastoral needs.This role would suit a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone with previous experience working with children or young people who is looking to develop their experience within a secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Supporting students with their academic learning and classroom activities
• Providing 1 to 1 and small group support where required
• Helping students understand and complete classroom tasks
• Providing pastoral support and encouragement
• Supporting students who may experience barriers to learning
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff
• Helping students develop confidence and independence
• Adapting your approach to meet individual student needs
