A secondary school in the DN3 area is looking for a Science Teacher to join their team from September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Science lessons across the secondary curriculum and supporting students to make progress throughout the academic year. This is a long term opportunity and would suit a qualified Science Teacher looking for a new position from September. 

What We’re Looking For

The school is seeking a qualified Science Teacher with strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach effectively across KS3 and KS4.
You should have QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification and be confident managing a secondary classroom. Applications are welcome from teachers with a Biology, Chemistry or Physics specialism who are comfortable teaching across the wider Science curriculum.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Planning and delivering Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Preparing appropriate resources and learning activities
• Assessing and monitoring student progress
• Providing feedback to support student development
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
• Supporting students of different abilities
• Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team
