PE Teacher – DN17 – Immediate Start

PE Teacher | Secondary School | DN17 | September 2026

We have an opportunity for a PE Teacher to join a secondary school in DN17 for an immediate start. The successful applicant will teach across KS3 and KS4 and play an important role in encouraging students to participate, develop their skills and make progress.
You will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical PE lessons while maintaining a positive and well managed learning environment.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a qualified PE Teacher with secondary school experience and a good understanding of the PE curriculum.
You should be confident teaching students with a range of abilities and be able to manage classes effectively. A positive approach to working with young people and the ability to build good relationships are important for this position.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering practical lessons
• Delivering relevant classroom based PE content
• Assessing student performance and progress
• Encouraging participation and positive attitudes towards PE
• Managing behaviour and maintaining high expectations
• Adapting lessons to support different abilities
• Working closely with the wider PE department
