Warehouse / Production Operative (Temporary)

Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Contract: Temporary (Initial 6-8 weeks with potential for extension)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for two Warehouse / Production Operatives to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This assignment is expected to last between 6 and 8 weeks initially, with the possibility of extension depending on business requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience within a busy warehouse and production environment. Previous warehouse or production experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Working Hours

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:

Week 1

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am to 2:00pm

Week 2

• Monday to Friday
• 2:00pm to 10:00pm

The pattern then repeats on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and dispatching products accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting daily warehouse and production operations.
• Loading, unloading and moving materials safely within the facility.
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and assisting with stock checks.
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised and safe.
• Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Assisting with production activities as required.
• Reporting any issues relating to quality, stock or equipment.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational targets. 

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures.
• Flexibility to work the rotating shift pattern.

Desirable

• Previous warehouse, production, manufacturing or picking and packing experience.
• Experience using warehouse systems or basic IT packages.
• Forklift licence or experience (beneficial but not essential).
