The Role

As an Early Years Childcare Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. You will support children’s social, emotional, physical, and educational development while helping to deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting children aged 0-5 years in their daily learning and development
  • Delivering engaging play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment
  • Observing and monitoring children’s progress and achievements

Requirements

To be considered for this Early Years Childcare Practitioner job in Walsall, you should have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or a related subject
  • Experience working within a nursery, pre-school, childcare setting, or early years environment
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
