JOB TITLE: Learning Supervisor
BASED AT: Samuel Whitbread Academy
SALARY/GRADE RANGE: NJC Scale 3D Points 7-11 pro rata (FTE £27,274 - £29,071 pro rata; actual £23,747 - 25,312 per annum)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice Principal & Head of Department
HOURS: 37.00 hours per week (working Monday to Friday) term-time only (to include five designated staff training days)
The Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST) is a multi-academy trust providing exceptional education across our community of 11 schools and five nurseries. As a Learning Supervisor, you will lead classes in the absence of their teacher, maintaining a structured, positive, and inspiring space where students stay on task and achieve their potential.
- Guide & Inspire: Direct set lessons during teacher absences, encouraging high aspirations and helping pupils make progress.
- Maintain Classroom Culture: Apply consistent, positive behaviour management to keep students focused, safe, and learning.
- Support Departments: Use non-cover time to streamline department admin, order and refresh learning resources, and create engaging, vibrant wall displays.

This role will involve working closely with the pupils at Samuel Whitbread Academy and you will be engaging in regulated activity with children.
