Randstad is seeking compassionate Specialist Mentors in Aberdeen to empower university students navigating mental health challenges. This role offers you the opportunity to make a difference whilst being able to enjoy a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities: As a Specialist Mentor, you will work one-on-one with students to provide tailored support.
Your key duties will include:
- Helping students achieve a healthy balance between daily living activities and academic tasks.
- Improving organisational skills, including effective time management.
- Assisting students in preparing for deadlines by breaking down assignments into manageable steps.
- Supporting students in managing stress and anxiety related to their studies or daily life.
- Guiding students in reflecting on their personal and academic experiences.
- Boosting student's confidence by identifying and building upon their existing strengths.
- Maintaining close communication with Randstad and reporting any student concerns promptly.
- Upholding the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Desired Skills & Attributes:
- High level of empathy and a deep understanding of others needs.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or learning difficulties.
- Reliable, responsible, and professional demeanour.
- Excellent personal organisational and time management skills.
