The Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to support the day-to-day running of a busy automotive operation.

Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will help lead the workshop team, deliver excellent customer service, drive commercial performance, and ensure the business operates safely and efficiently. You will also take responsibility for the site when the Branch Manager is absent.

This opportunity would suit a Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, Team Leader, Assistant Manager, or an experienced automotive professional looking to progress their career.

Responsibilities

· Support the daily operation of the business.

· Lead, motivate and organise workshop staff.

· Manage workloads and ensure work is completed efficiently.

· Deliver outstanding customer service from enquiry through to vehicle handover.

· Prepare estimates and explain recommended work to customers.

· Identify sales opportunities and help drive branch performance.

· Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.

· Assist with stock control and administration.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety requirements.

· Oversee operations in the Branch Manager’s absence.

About You

· Experience within the automotive industry, including servicing, repairs, MOTs, tyres, or aftermarket services.

· Previous supervisory or management experience.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Commercially minded with the ability to achieve sales and performance targets.

· Good organisational and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of workshop operations and vehicle maintenance.

· Full UK Driving Licence.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm
