Electrical Design & Control Engineer

Norfolk, UK Automation Experts Electrical Design & Control Engineer £40-48k + Training. Flexitime. Progression Norfolk. Ref: 25706 Ready to take ownership of electrical automation projects from design through to commissioning? Due to continued growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing team delivering bespoke automation, control systems and LV switchgear solutions across a range of industrial applications. The Role Manage projects from initial enquiry through to design, build and commissioning. Produce electrical schematics, control panel layouts and LV switchgear designs using EPLAN and AutoCAD. Prepare FDS documents, quotations, estimates and technical documentation. Develop hardware solutions to UKCA and CE standards; UL 508A knowledge would be advantageous. Support PLC/HMI programming, FAT, commissioning and fault-finding. Develop build documentation for volume-manufactured products. Liaise with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams throughout projects. Provide post-installation and call-out support alongside general project engineering duties. What We’re Looking For HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Proven experience in industrial automation, controls and electrical design. Strong EPLAN and AutoCAD experience. PLC/HMI programming advantageous, but not essential - training available Galaxy 3/Cubic software experience would be advantageous. Knowledge of pneumatic systems and LV switchgear. Strong communication, organisation and project management skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
