Leeds, UK Exalto Consulting Senior Integration Software Engineer – Contract Location: Leeds / Wakefield – hybrid, with at least 1 day per week onsite and occasional regional travel Rate: £395 per day – Inside IR35 Contract: 1 September 2026 to 16 November 2026 Hours: Full-time We are looking for a Senior Integration Software Engineer to support a large-scale integration programme, designing and delivering secure, reliable integrations across complex enterprise systems. The Role You will work within a multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers and technical stakeholders. Responsibilities will include: Developing secure APIs, integration services and reusable integration components Building interfaces using FHIR, HL7 v2.x and RESTful APIs Integrating with complex enterprise platforms, including EPR and PAS systems Supporting integration testing, deployment, go-live and early-life support Troubleshooting integration issues across multiple systems Developing automated unit, integration and API tests Working within Agile delivery and CI/CD environments Producing technical, API and interface documentation Supporting code reviews and maintaining high software engineering standards Essential Experience Strong enterprise software engineering and systems integration background Commercial experience with FHIR Commercial experience with HL7 v2.x Strong RESTful API and web services development experience Experience integrating multiple complex systems Cloud-based application development Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing Secure software development practices Agile and DevOps delivery experience Strong technical troubleshooting skills Experience with integration engines, middleware and event-driven architecture would also be beneficial. Candidates must be comfortable attending the Leeds/Wakefield location at least once per week, with some additional regional travel for technical workshops, testing and implementation activities
