Consultant – Data Process & Automation EngineerLocation: LondonWorking pattern: HybridSalary: Up to £60,000 + benefitsWe are recruiting a Data Process & Automation Engineer to join the Technology and Data practice of a leading change and transformation consultancy.You will work directly with clients to analyse business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and build scalable automation solutions using low-code, RPA and AI-enabled technologies.Key responsibilitiesAnalyse end-to-end business processes and identify root causes of inefficiency and variation.Assess and prioritise suitable process-automation opportunities.Design future-state processes that balance efficiency, user experience and risk.Build workflow solutions using low-code, RPA and AI-enabled technologies.Support the testing, deployment and operational handover of automation solutions.Assess when Agentic AI offers genuine value beyond traditional automation.Design human-in-the-loop workflows with appropriate controls and escalation routes.Evaluate AI use cases based on feasibility, value, risk and operational readiness.Help clients establish controls for model monitoring, compliance, auditability and responsible AI.Define KPIs and success measures for process improvements.Support benefits realisation and continuous optimisation following deployment.Facilitate workshops with business, operational and technology stakeholders.Contribute to proposals, client presentations and thought-leadership activities.Essential experienceAt least three years’ experience in a client-facing or consulting environment.Experience analysing and improving end-to-end business processes.Practical knowledge of workflow automation, low-code platforms or RPA.Experience with automation tools such as UiPath or Celonis.Strong stakeholder-management and workshop-facilitation skills.Ability to translate business requirements into practical automation solutions.Understanding of automation governance, controls and risk management.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Desirable experienceMicrosoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate or Azure AI.Agentic AI or AI-enabled workflow automation.API-based integrations and workflow orchestration.Enterprise system connectivity.Human-in-the-loop workflow design.Responsible AI and model-governance frameworks.A degree in computer science, data science, information systems or a related discipline.This is an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of process improvement, data, automation and AI while helping major organisations develop more efficient and scalable operations.Apply today or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.
