3.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Van Driver – Willenhall

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Willenhall, West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and opportunities for long-term progression.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver or Multi-Drop Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £14.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 06:00 and 07:00
• 1.25 hours unpaid break deducted per shift

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Van Driver are:

• Delivering beds and store deliveries across the region
• Completing multi-drop deliveries in a safe and efficient manner
• Carrying out 15-minute vehicle checks before departure
• Working alongside a driver’s mate when required
• Assisting with unloading deliveries at customer stores, with support available on site
• Communicating daily with the Transport Manager
• Providing a professional and friendly customer service experience
• Undertaking occasional handball duties
• Delivering a variety of goods safely and on time
• Using satnav and route planning tools to complete deliveries efficiently

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a 3.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Van Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
• A minimum of 24 months’ commercial driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Good knowledge of the UK road network
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and punctuality
• A strong understanding of road traffic regulations
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• To be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes

Training:

• Online assessment to be completed before starting the assignment
