About the role
Business Analyst – SAP / ERP Transformation (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 Month (Initial)
Location: Leeds (Hybrid – Office and Home working)
Overview
A key client of ours is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong ERP transformation experience to join a major enterprise-wide technology transformation programme.
Working within an established Business Analysis function, you’ll take ownership of your own dedicated business workstream, partnering with operational and technical stakeholders to understand existing processes, define future-state requirements and support the implementation of new enterprise technology solutions.
We’re specifically looking for Business Analysts who have hands-on experience working on large-scale ERP transformation or implementation programmes. Direct SAP S/4HANA experience is strongly preferred, with candidates expected to demonstrate substantial involvement in ERP transformation rather than limited exposure to individual Finance or HR modules.
You’ll be supporting a major enterprise transformation programme involving:
- SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA
- Advantex Service Suite to SAP Multi-Resource Scheduling (MRS)
- Legacy CRM platform to Microsoft Dynamics
- Odyssey mapping to the Esri platform
- Mobile workforce solutions
- Dynamic Forms
- Enterprise systems integration
Each Business Analyst will partner with a specific business area, taking ownership of a dedicated workstream to understand existing processes, define future requirements and support the successful implementation of new technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead Business Analysis activities across assigned transformation workstreams.
- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
- Produce functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop AS-IS and TO-BE business process models.
- Conduct gap analysis and support solution design.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
- Manage requirements throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring traceability from definition through to implementation.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business readiness activities.
Skills & Experience
We’re particularly interested in Business Analysts who have worked on large-scale ERP transformation or implementation programmes. To be considered, you’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering large-scale ERP transformation or implementation programmes.
- Strong experience working within complex enterprise ERP environments.
- Direct SAP S/4HANA experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience across ERP transformation, migration, implementation, integration and/or replacement of legacy enterprise systems.
- Experience owning or leading Business Analysis activities across a dedicated ERP workstream.
- Strong requirements elicitation, process mapping and documentation skills.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and managing business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to translate business needs into clear, deliverable requirements.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong ERP transformation experience on other major ERP platforms, such as Oracle, may also be considered where candidates can demonstrate comparable scale and complexity.
Desirable:
- Experience within the Utilities sector (Water, Gas or Electricity), or other asset-intensive industries such as Construction, Engineering or Logistics.
- Experience working on large-scale SAP-enabled business transformation programmes.
- Experience with enterprise mapping or GIS solutions, e.g. Esri.
- Professional BA qualifications, e.g. BCS or Lean Six Sigma.
- Agile certifications, e.g. SAFe or Scrum.
