Export Logistics Operator

Export Logistics Operator | Tilbury, Essex 
£30,000 to £35,000 per annum 
Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm 
Permanent office-based position

We are recruiting an experienced Export Logistics Operator to join a friendly and established freight forwarding company based in Tilbury. You will manage air freight and sea freight export shipments from booking through to delivery, ensuring all documentation, customs declarations and deadlines are completed accurately.

Key responsibilities include:

• Communicating with customers, hauliers, carriers and overseas agents
• Booking shipments with shipping lines and airlines
• Arranging collections to meet vessel and flight deadlines
• Completing customs declarations
• Preparing export documentation, manifests and certificates of origin
• Checking warehouse screening and weighing requirements
• Sending pre alerts to overseas agents
• Monitoring shipments and completing invoicing
• Following up with customers after delivery

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience in airfreight and sea freight export operations, including export documentation and customs declarations. Experience using CNS, Destin8 and Multi Freight is desirable. You will also need strong attention to detail and confident Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills.

A driving licence and own transport are essential due to the company’s location.
