About the role
Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Experienced Upholsterer to join their busy and fast-paced manufacturing team based in West Yorkshire.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a hard-working, reliable and committed individual with previous upholstery experience. The successful candidate will be working on a range of products, from headboards and stools to larger furniture items such as sofas and chairs.
Candidates must be confident using staple guns and other job-specific tools, with the ability to work to a high standard while meeting production deadlines.
Please note: candidates will be required to complete a bench test as part of the recruitment process.
Shift/salary:
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 3:00pm
- Friday: 6:30am – 12:00pm
Salary: Dependent on experience
- Permanent role
Key Responsibilities
- Upholstering a variety of products including headboards, stools, sofas, chairs and other furniture items
- Using staple guns and upholstery tools safely and effectively
- Working to high quality standards in line with production requirements
- Meeting fast-paced production and delivery schedules
- Ensuring finished products meet the required standard
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Keeping the work area clean, safe and organised
- Following all company procedures and health and safety guidelines
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an upholsterer
- Experience working on products such as headboards, stools, sofas, chairs or similar furniture items
- Experience using staple guns and other job-specific upholstery tools
- A strong eye for detail and a high standard of workmanship
- The ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Good teamwork skills
- Reliability, commitment and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to complete a bench test as part of the recruitment process
