Legal Technologist - Manchester

Purpose of the Role

You will scope, build, implement and manage technology-enabled legal solutions for clients and the Firm, configuring and maintaining end-to-end platforms for repeatable projects (including data tracking, document management and reporting), and engaging stakeholders at all levels to drive change and improve client experience.

The Team

Our Innovation and Legal Technology (ILT) team, formed in 2015, is one of three teams in the Innovation Group. Combining technology and legal expertise, ILT is a fast-paced, dynamic team offering real opportunities for contribution and career development.

What to expect in this role?

Supported with appropriate training and guidance, your key responsibilities will be:

• Scoping, defining and managing significant technical projects
• Assisting in the development and delivery of novel client solutions
• Customising templated technologies (e.g. HighQ sites, Generative AI reviews, trackers, data visualisation, document automation)
• Assessing and deploying new software
• Interacting with clients on project design and delivery
• Working collaboratively with IT, ALS, ILT, Knowledge and Consulting

 Areas Of Knowledge And Expertise

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in a global law firm or professional services (preferred)
• Strong understanding of legal technology (e.g. HighQ, Legora, Orbital Witness, Kira)
• Process analysis / wire-framing experience (preferred)
