Industrial Sewing Machinist

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Sewing Machinist to join our client based in HD2 on a full-time afternoon shift.

• Days based role
• Monday to Friday
• £12.71 – 13.20ph
• Temp to Perm

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines, assembling products to specification, checking finished work for quality, and helping to meet daily production targets.

Previous sewing machine or industrial sewing experience is required. p

Main Duties

• Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
• Sewing and assembling products according to job specifications
• Following production instructions and work orders
• Checking finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Carrying out basic quality control checks throughout production
• Working to daily production targets and deadlines
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy, and organised
• Reporting any machine faults, defects, or quality issues to the supervisor
• Supporting the wider production and warehouse team when required
• Following company health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Previous sewing machine experience
• Industrial sewing experience would be advantageous
• Experience within production, assembly, or warehouse environments desirable
• Good attention to detail
