We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, excellent teacher and leader who is passionate about their subject and can evidence proven success in nurturing an environment within which everyone can reach their full potential - students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • The academy’s mission statement, aims, priorities, targets and balanced scorecard and the mission of the Summit Learning Trust
  • Monitor, lead and support those members of staff in the direct reporting line on areas of their remit.
  • Ensure all academy protocols, routines and expectations are met by all staff in their area.
  • Have responsbility for all results, assessment data, achievement, progress and attainment in the subject areas.
  • Manage formal processes affecting staff in the subject areas in line with Trust policies.
  • Support the trust in the implementation of strategies to raise standards in the subject areas.

About You

  • A qualified teacher (QTS). Ability to demonstrate good teachingensuring all students make excellent progress across all key stages.
  • Successful experience of leading, monitoring and with an understanding of the importance of accountability in the role.
  • Successful and relevant secondary teaching experience.
  • Clear understanding and detailed knowledge of current curriculum and assessment requirements and developments.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with learners, parent and carers, and colleagues.
