Shop Floor Engineer

Out client is a well-established engineering and fabrication business specialising in high-quality manufacturing solutions across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Shop Floor Engineer to join our production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work and wants a great work-life balance with a 4-day working week, giving you a long weekend every week.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with general engineering and fabrication activities.
• Operating workshop machinery and equipment safely.
• Supporting production and manufacturing processes.
• Material handling and movement of stock around the workshop.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
• Working as part of a collaborative and hardworking team.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Experience operating workshop machinery.
• Familiarity with fabrication, assembly or engineering processes.
