About the role
We are seeking an empathetic, adaptable SEN Maths Teacher to deliver engaging, accessible numeracy lessons.
If you excel at tailoring core mathematical concepts to diverse learning styles and building student confidence within a supportive special educational needs environment, this is an outstanding opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored Maths and Functional Skills lessons to secondary-aged pupils (including Year 10) working below age-related expectations.
- Adapt learning strategies to support diverse SEN needs and foster a calm, encouraging classroom atmosphere.
- Apply digital literacy best practices and uphold the SEN Code of Practice in daily planning and teaching.
- Maintain flexibility to work occasional additional hours when required to fulfill professional duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Maths (GCSE and Functional Skills).
- Proven experience teaching secondary learners (Year 10) with special educational needs.
- Solid understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.
- Access to personal transport due to the school's remote location.
- Full Right to Work in the UK and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
