The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Respiratory Medicine Consultant to support services in South West England.

This is an excellent locum opportunity offering a structured weekday job plan alongside a shared on-call commitment. You will be joining an established respiratory team, supporting inpatient and outpatient services while contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

• Duration: 3 Months (can be honoured)
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
• On-Call Commitment: 1:8 overnights and weekends
• Pay Method: Direct Engagement

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality care within a Respiratory Medicine department
• Manage inpatient respiratory cases and provide specialist respiratory advice
• Participate in outpatient clinics and ward rounds as per the agreed job plan
• Contribute to the 1:8 overnight and weekend on-call rota
• Work collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, AHPs and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Support the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality respiratory services

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Respiratory Medicine accreditation
• Relevant recent NHS experience at Consultant level
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical judgement, communication and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
