HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver – Manchester 

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver – Manchester to join our well-established client based in Manchester. 

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, ongoing work and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading transport and logistics company. 

This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver. 

Rates of Pay: 

• £15.50 per hour
• £22.00 night out allowance per night
• £10.00 food allowance per night
• Weekly pay

 Shift Pattern: 

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:00 and 06:00
• Regular nights out required

Day-to-Day Duties: 

As an HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver, you will work: 

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing between two and four deliveries per day across the North West
• Loading and unloading vehicles, including handball duties where required
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location
• Reporting delivery issues or customer concerns to the transport team
• Completing all delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately 

Essential Skills: 

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver, you will need: 

• A minimum of one year’s HGV Class 2 driving experience
• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsements)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work

• First-day site assessment
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
