We are recruiting for a 24 hour RCVS Accredited Hospital and Emergency Service Centre offering a varied caseload across first opinion, emergency and referral work.

With an experienced team of vets and nurses, including certificate holders in ECC, Surgery, Medicine, Dentistry and Anaesthesia, this is an excellent environment for nurses looking to develop their skills.

The role

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate RVN to join the day team. Experienced RVNs are preferred.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills across inpatient care, anaesthesia and surgery within a supportive, nurse led environment.

Hours

• 40 hours per week.
• 4 days per week.
• Early and late shifts.
• 1 in 4 weekends, with two 10 hour shifts.
• No OOH.

Day to day duties

• Inpatient nursing and patient care.
• Anaesthesia monitoring.
• Surgical nursing.
• Caring for complex medical and referral cases.
• Feeding tube, wound and drain care.
• Developing Schedule 3 surgical skills.
• Rotations through wards and theatre.

Who are we looking for?

An enthusiastic and compassionate RVN with a genuine passion for patient care and a desire to develop clinically.

Hospital experience is preferred- particularly in anaesthesia and inpatient care.
