Managing Director – Fire & Security

I’m supporting an established and profitable business within the Fire & Security sector with the confidential appointment of a Managing Director to lead the organisation through its next stage of growth.

This is not a turnaround opportunity. The foundations are already in place, with an established customer base, experienced team and strong market presence. The focus will be on building upon that platform – driving sustainable top and bottom-line growth, developing the leadership team, strengthening existing customer relationships and identifying new markets and commercial opportunities.

The Role

Reporting at Board level, you will take overall responsibility for the performance and strategic direction of the business, including:

• Developing and delivering the company’s growth strategy.
• Full commercial and P&L ownership, with accountability for revenue, profitability and performance.
• Leading, developing and empowering the senior leadership team.
• Strengthening key client relationships while identifying opportunities for further growth.
• Driving business development across existing and new markets.
• Ensuring operational delivery supports commercial growth and customer expectations.
• Building a scalable business capable of achieving ambitious longer-term objectives.
• Working closely with shareholders/Board to shape the future direction of the organisation.

About You

I’m particularly interested in speaking with individuals currently operating as a Managing Director, Sales Director, Commercial Director or Operations Director within the Fire & Security industry.

You will ideally demonstrate a track record of growing a business or division, developing high-performing teams and delivering measurable commercial results. You don’t necessarily need to have held the MD title previously; this could equally suit an accomplished Director who has the commercial credibility, leadership capability and ambition to make that next step.

A strong understanding of the UK Fire & Security market, its customers and routes to market will be important, alongside the ability to operate both strategically and commercially.

Package

A six-figure basic salary and executive-level package is available, with flexibility to structure the overall proposition appropriately for the right individual.
