Mobile Site Cleaning Operatives

ASA is working alongside a local authority and other partners to provide essential cleaning services across schools, care homes, sheltered housing and community use facilities.

We’re recruiting Mobile Site Operatives across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. These roles are ideal for people who take pride in keeping buildings clean, safe, hygienic and welcoming.

You’ll work in different sites carrying out cleaning and site support duties while helping maintain high standards for pupils, residents, staff and visitors.

We welcome applicants with experience in cleaning, housekeeping, domestic services, janitorial cleaning, facilities cleaning, caretaking support, mobile site support or similar hands on roles.

What You Could Be Doing:

Complete cleaning and site support tasks

Cleaning classrooms, communal areas, offices, toilets, corridors, dining areas and other site spaces

Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising surfaces and maintaining hygiene standards

Using cleaning products and equipment safely, including following COSHH guidance and safe working practices

Emptying bins, supporting recycling and keeping internal and external areas clean and tidy

Replenishing soap, hand towels, toilet rolls and cleaning consumables

Reporting any cleaning issues, repairs or health and safety concerns to the appropriate contact

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, domestic services, janitorial cleaning, facilities cleaning, mobile site support or a similar practical role

A good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene, health and safety procedures, COSHH and safe working practices

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to complete cleaning and site-support tasks across different locations

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

PVG membership (or willingness to obtain one)
