The Opportunity
We are supporting an NHS Trust in South West England with the appointment of a Locum Consultant Dermatologist.
This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified Consultant Dermatologist to join an established Dermatology service and provide high-quality specialist care to patients across the Trust.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of safe and effective Dermatology services throughout the assignment.

The Role
The successful candidate will provide Consultant-level Dermatology services across the Trust.
The role will include:
- Assessment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of Dermatological conditions
- Providing Consultant-level clinical decision-making, diagnosis and treatment
- Undertaking Dermatology clinics and specialist assessments
- Managing both new and follow-up patients
- Performing appropriate Dermatological procedures as required
- Providing advice and support to colleagues across the multidisciplinary team
- Working collaboratively with nursing, medical and wider multidisciplinary colleagues
- Supporting junior medical staff and contributing to teaching where required
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation
- Contributing to clinical governance, audit and service improvement activities
- Ensuring safe, high-quality and patient-centred care
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Dermatology, or relevant experience for a locum appointment
- Previous NHS Consultant-level Dermatology experience
- Broad experience in General Dermatology
- Experience assessing and managing a wide range of Dermatological conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience working within an NHS Dermatology department
- Experience across a broad range of Dermatology services
- Experience undertaking Dermatological procedures
- Teaching and supervision experience
- Experience in clinical audit, governance or service improvement
