Morson Edge is pleased to be supporting a well-established and growing RIBA Chartered Practice in the appointment of several Architectural Technologists across graduate, intermediate and senior levels.

The practice is based just outside of Bridgend and consists of a team of just under 30 professionals. The practice operates as a genuinely multi-disciplinary environment, bringing together Chartered Architects, Architectural Technologists, Passive House Designers, and Civil and Structural Engineers.

The successful candidates will join a forward-thinking practice that is at the forefront of sustainable architecture and the delivery of social housing across Wales.

The Roles

The practice is open to applications from Architectural Technologists at different stages of their careers, including:

  • Intermediate Architectural Technologists seeking to develop their technical expertise and take on greater responsibility.
  • Senior Architectural Technologists with the experience and confidence to lead technical design processes and work directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on experience, responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and developing high-quality architectural and technical information using Revit.
  • Working collaboratively with architects, technologists, Passive House Designers and engineering consultants.
  • Coordinating architectural information with structural and civil engineering requirements.
  • Contributing to projects through RIBA Work Stages 3–4 and, for senior candidates, through to completion.
  • Applying relevant Building Regulations and associated statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of effective quality assurance systems and technical processes.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, consultants, clients and other project stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of technical design standards and project delivery.
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues within a collaborative team environment.

About You

All applicants should have:

  • A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Revit and confidence working within a BIM-based design environment.
  • Strong communication, coordination and collaborative working skills.
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
  • An interest in high-quality, sustainable architectural design.
  • A willingness to contribute to the development of quality systems and processes

Benefits include an excellent renumeration and package along with great benefits, training, development and progression.
