Our client, a prominent leader in the Insurance industry, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Legal Counsel specializing in Accident and Health (A&H) to join their robust legal department. This is a permanent position offering the successful candidate an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, driving legal strategies and solutions that contribute to the company's business goals and regulatory compliance.
Role and Responsibilities

Serve as a business-facing insurance specialist embedded across A&H, Travel, Pet, Stop Loss, and other specialty lines.
Advise senior stakeholders on insurance regulatory matters, regulatory exposure, and regulator interactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and insurance agreements, including vendor, MGA/MGU, TPA, and delegated authority arrangements.
Advise on claims, product, and state regulatory matters, including benefit clarifications and claims communications.
Support product, advertising, consumer, and broader legal matters across the specialty insurance portfolio.


Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in good standing.
3-5+ years of dedicated A&H, Travel, Pet, Stop Loss, and more specialty P&C insurance lines.
Wider P&C insurance experience within regulatory, claims, product, corporate insurance, etc. (Regulatory preferred)
