Full-Time Teaching Assistant

A supportive secondary school in Nuneaton now seeks an experienced Full-Time Teaching Assistant for a full‑time role, Monday to Friday. You bring strong SEND experience and a calm, consistent approach that helps learners feel settled, understood and ready to engage. Moreover, you work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver adapted tasks, clear routines and targeted interventions. As the day progresses, you guide pupils through challenges, encourage independence and maintain steady engagement. Furthermore, you help create a positive learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported and motivated to progress. Additionally you will be a strong point of contact for the children.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide SEND classroom support across lessons and daily routines
• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions that build confidence and engagement
• Use clear routines to reduce anxiety and support regulation
• Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils needing additional guidance
• Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO to maintain consistent provision
• Encourage independence, resilience and steady progress throughout the school day

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with strong knowledge of additional needs
• Confidence supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs or complex learning profiles
• Clear communication and a patient, supportive approach
• Ability to follow structured routines and maintain consistency
• Full‑time availability, Monday to Friday
• Interest in Nuneaton‑based secondary SEND roles
