Pink Tile Education is currently recruiting for a SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Croydon area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and passionate about working with children, particularly those who may display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional, behavioural or educational support.
Previous experience working in a school is advantageous, but not essential. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience working with vulnerable children, challenging behaviour, SEND or SEMH and are looking to develop a career in education.
About the Role
As a SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils who may need additional help with their behaviour, emotional regulation, social development and learning.
You will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to help pupils feel safe, supported and able to access their education.
The role may include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
Supporting children with challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and positive way.
Helping pupils manage their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.
Building strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable children.
Supporting pupils to engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence.
