Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Newton Abbot for a Production Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Technician, Manufacturing Operative, Production Operative, Assembly Operative, Engineering Operative, Factory Operative or Mechanical Assembler to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business.

• £12.71 per hour.

• Temporary to permanent opportunity.

• Monday to Thursday, 7am-4pm.

• Friday, 7am-12pm.

• 39-hour working week.

• Weekly pay.

• Manufacture specialist engineered components and systems.

• Carry out production, manufacturing and assembly duties to a high standard.

• Braze and solder a variety of metal components.

• Form, bend and shape metal tubing.

• Complete wet spray painting of engineered components.

• Carry out silicone moulding and coating processes.

• Assemble components using engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Pack and prepare finished products for dispatch.

• Carry out quality inspections while supporting ISO quality standards.

• Work across multiple production and manufacturing areas to achieve production targets.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering, factory or assembly environment is advantageous, although full training will be provided.

• Experience with brazing or soldering is beneficial.

• Experience with pipe or tube bending is desirable.

• Experience with wet spray painting is advantageous.

• Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.

• Ability to read engineering drawings is beneficial.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems is advantageous.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

• Good problem-solving skills and excellent timekeeping.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

• Flexible, reliable and committed to producing high-quality work.
