SEND Teaching Assistant – KS1 SEND Hub

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £95 per day PAYE

We are currently looking for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.
The successful candidate will work within a small KS1 SEND hub, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and helping them to access learning in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role

• Supporting pupils within a small KS1 SEND provision
• Providing tailored support to meet individual learning and developmental needs
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
• Supporting pupils with their engagement, communication and learning
• Helping to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils
• Supporting classroom routines and activities
• Building positive and trusting relationships with children

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced working with children with SEND
• Ideally experienced within a primary or KS1 setting
• Patient, nurturing and resilient
• Confident supporting a range of needs and behaviours
• Able to adapt their approach to individual pupils
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Passionate about helping children reach their potential
