A fantastic mainstream primary school in the DN5 area is looking for a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This role will focus primarily on supporting pupils in Year 3, assisting with their transition into Key Stage 2 and helping them build confidence across the curriculum.

You will provide classroom support, work with small groups and offer individual assistance to pupils who may require additional encouragement.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting learning across the Year 3 curriculum
• Working with individuals and small groups
• Supporting reading, writing and maths interventions
• Encouraging positive engagement and behaviour
• Helping pupils develop their independence
• Working closely with teaching staff to meet pupils’ needs

The school is looking for someone who is patient, reliable and enthusiastic about working with children.

Experience within a primary school setting would be advantageous.
