Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Rainford, supporting pupils within Key Stage 1 and providing additional SEN support as required.

This is a full-time, long-term role starting as soon as possible, ideal for a candidate who is passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential

The Role 

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 classes
• Working closely with pupils who have additional needs, including those with SEN
• Delivering targeted interventions and providing one-to-one or small group support
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and progress
• Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team to create a positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate 

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
• Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
