Location: Uttoxeter
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: October Half Term
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
Zest Education is proud to be working with a friendly and supportive primary school in the Uttoxeter area who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring and engaging pupils in Key Stage 2.
About the Role
As the Year 2 Teacher, you will take responsibility for the learning, progress and wellbeing of a class of motivated and curious pupils. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking and a love of learning, supported by an experienced leadership team and strong teaching assistant provision.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, ensuring all children reach their potential.

Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Contribute to the wider life of the school through assemblies, clubs and events.
About You
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2 Teacher or upper KS1.

Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

A team player who is reflective, resilient and passionate about teaching and learning.
