About the Role
We are looking for a Level 3 Early Years qualified Teaching Assistant to support a range of schools and nurseries who work closely with Zest Education. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and confident supporting children aged 0–4 in both structured and play‑based environments.
You will work alongside teachers and nursery practitioners to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing setting where every child can thrive. Assignments vary from day‑to‑day cover to long‑term placements, giving you the flexibility to choose what suits you best.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in line with the EYFS framework
- Assisting with classroom activities, small‑group work, and 1:1 support
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Building strong relationships with staff, children, and families
- Contributing to planning, observations, and assessments where required
- Maintaining safeguarding and behaviour expectations at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) – essential
- Experience working in a school or nursery setting
- A warm, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young children
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
