Primary Teacher

A welcoming primary school in Coventry now seeks a committed Year 2 Teacher for a full‑time KS1 role. You bring clear, structured teaching that helps pupils feel confident, motivated and ready to progress. Moreover, you create purposeful routines that support independence, positive behaviour and steady academic growth. As the year develops, you guide pupils through key milestones, adapt tasks to meet varied needs and maintain strong communication with families and staff. Furthermore, you work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent, high‑quality provision across the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Year 2 lessons with clarity, consistency and strong curriculum knowledge
• Lead phonics, reading and early writing through well‑planned routines
• Deliver KS1 maths using practical methods and structured progression
• Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils needing extra guidance
• Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and the SENCO to maintain consistent provision
• Track pupil progress and adjust teaching when needed
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified KS1 Teacher with QTS
• Strong experience teaching in Year 2 or across KS1
• Confident understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
• Clear communication and a warm, supportive approach
• Ability to maintain structured routines and promote positive behaviour
• Full‑time availability
• Interest in Coventry‑based KS1 roles
