SEND Nursery Nurse

Supporting children with additional needs in the early years is one of the most rewarding roles in education — and we’re looking for a caring, patient and skilled SEND Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming nursery setting in Moseley.

This role is ideal for someone with strong early‑years knowledge, a nurturing approach, and the confidence to support children with a range of SEND needs.

About the Role

• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for nursery‑aged children with SEND (ASD, communication delays, sensory needs, SEMH).
• Supporting children with early learning routines, emotional regulation and communication development.
• Delivering sensory‑based activities, play‑led learning and personalised support plans.
• Working closely with the Nursery Manager, SENDCO and wider team to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels supported and valued.

What We’re Looking For

• A warm, patient and nurturing practitioner with a genuine passion for early years.
• Experience supporting children with SEND in a nursery or early‑years setting.
• Strong communication and behaviour‑support skills.
• Someone reliable, proactive and confident working within a team.
• Knowledge of EYFS and child development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
