Clean Water Process Engineer

Morson Edge is recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering consultancy for an experienced Clean Water Process Engineer to join their water team on a 12-month contract, based out of their Surrey office with hybrid working.

This is a great opportunity for a Chartered Process Engineer with strong clean water design experience to take a lead technical role, acting as a key client contact and directing the work of other process engineers on high-profile UK water sector projects.

The Role

You will lead process design across front-end and detailed clean water design stages for UK water company clients, managing time and budgets against key project milestones and presenting findings and recommendations directly to clients and wider stakeholders.

Regular travel to client offices in Kent will be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process design and provide direction to other process engineers.
• Deliver front-end and detailed clean water process design for UK water companies.
• Manage time and budgets against key project milestones and programmes.
• Act as the key client contact for clean water design matters.
• Present findings, conclusions, recommendations and technical outputs to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current design standards and UK water treatment challenges.
• Travel to client offices as required, notably South East Water in Snodland, Kent.

What You’ll Need

• 10+ years’ demonstrable clean water design experience.
• Chartered status with IChemE, IET or CIWEM desirable.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering clean water process design for UK water companies.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to client sites.

Contract Details

• 12-month contract, with potential for extension.
• £45 - £56 per hour PAYE.
• 37.5 hours per week.
• Hybrid working, based in Surrey.
• Regular travel to client sites required (expensable).
