The Opportunity

We are working with a leading organisation within the rail rolling stock industry that is going through an exciting period of business growth and transformation.
As part of the implementation of a brand-new ERP system and transition to SAP, they are looking for a Procurement Process Support Lead to play a key role in documenting, translating and embedding new processes across the business.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with systems, data, processes and people, and who has the ability to take complex information and turn it into clear, easy-to-follow documentation.
You dont need to be a technical expert or an experienced SAP consultant. What matters is that you are comfortable learning new systems, analysing information, using Microsoft 365 and AI tools, and producing clear and structured work instructions.

What Youll Be Doing

Working closely with the procurement and systems teams, you will help ensure that new processes within SAP are properly documented and understood across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and understanding new SAP processes and system functionality.
Watching a series of training and process videos to understand how tasks are completed within SAP.
Using AI and tools such as Microsoft Copilot to help efficiently transform information into structured work instructions.
Creating clear, concise and user-friendly work instructions and process documentation, primarily using Microsoft Word.
Translating complex system processes into simple, practical guidance that employees can easily follow.
Ensuring processes are fully documented and recorded within the relevant systems.
Supporting the review, validation and sign-off of work instructions, including the associated competency requirements.
Working with stakeholders to ensure documentation accurately reflects the required business processes.
Identifying gaps, inconsistencies or areas where processes could be improved.
Supporting data analysis and reporting where required.
Using Excel to analyse and present information and identify trends or issues.
Helping the business embed and adopt the new ERP/SAP processes effectively.

About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical and naturally curious, with the confidence to learn new systems and turn what they learn into clear documentation.
You may come from a process support, systems, procurement, business analysis, technical writing, operations or data-focused background.
You could be an experienced professional, or potentially a postgraduate with the right analytical and systems-based skillset.

Youll ideally have:

Experience working with business systems, processes or ERP systems.
A good understanding of Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, structured documentation.
Experience analysing data and working with information from multiple sources.
The ability to understand complex processes and communicate them in a straightforward way.
Experience creating work instructions, procedures, process documentation or similar.
An understanding of AI tools and how they can be used to improve productivity, with experience using tools such as Microsoft Copilot highly desirable.
The confidence to learn new software and systems quickly.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Good stakeholder communication skills, particularly when gathering and validating process information.
