Mechanical Estimator, Essex
£60,000 to £70,000 per annum DOE
Permanent, Full-Time
Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm

Noble Recruiting is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join an established Building Services provider in Essex. Working alongside the Electrical Estimator, you will prepare detailed mechanical tenders for Commercial, Retail and Light Industrial projects. You will receive tenders from RIBA Stage 3 onwards and produce accurate, commercially competitive submissions for review by the commercial team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completing mechanical and public health take-offs
• Preparing cost plans, budget estimates and bills of materials
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Reviewing tender drawings, specifications and documentation
• Identifying tender queries, clarifications and design gaps
• Attending site visits and tender interviews
• Using estimating software to build accurate quotations

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proven Mechanical Estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and public health systems
• Understanding of RIBA design stages
• Knowledge of current mechanical regulations and market costs
• Amtech Estimating qualification, relevant mechanical trade qualification or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Public Health Engineering
