Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor

Location: 8 Surrey Street, Norwich, Norfolk, East Anglia, NR1 3NS, United Kingdom

Contract Duration: 13 August 2026 to 07 October 2026 (9 Weeks)

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM (17.5 hours per week)

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at our client site in Norwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained, conducting quality checks, and supporting the delivery of an efficient cleaning service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning operatives.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and within agreed timeframes.
  • Carry out regular inspections and quality audits of all cleaned areas.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to cleaning staff.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and performance of the cleaning team.
  • Ensure safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues, health and safety concerns, and incidents promptly.
  • Maintain cleaning records, checklists, and site documentation.
  • Manage stock levels and order cleaning supplies as required.
  • Liaise with site management and respond to service requests professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and COSHH requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader role.
  • Good knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a small team effectively.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Desirable Requirements

  • COSHH certification or relevant cleaning qualifications.
  • Experience working in commercial, office, or public sector environments.
  • First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential).
