Forklift Operator (Forkie)/Telehandler

Location: Weston Super mare/ BS24

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Cheltenham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement, loading, unloading, and storage of goods while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move materials and products.
• Load and unload vehicles in accordance with company procedures.
• Transport stock to designated warehouse or production areas.
• Carry out daily pre-use safety inspections on forklift equipment.
• Accurately pick, stack, and store products.
• Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and goods-in/goods-out activities.
• Ensure all loads are secure and handled safely.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Report equipment faults, damage, or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all health and safety policies and site procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, NPORS, or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required.
