P3CVD - Cleaning Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the cleaning team to ensure that all assigned areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition. The role includes planning work schedules, monitoring staff performance, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, and delivering high-quality cleaning services.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision

• Supervise, coordinate, and support the daily activities of cleaning staff.
• Allocate work assignments and prepare staff duty rosters.
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
• Conduct regular team briefings and provide guidance to staff.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve performance.

Cleaning Operations

• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to company standards and client requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of cleaned areas and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure proper cleaning of offices, washrooms, common areas, production areas, warehouses, and other assigned locations.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requirements and customer requests.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste in accordance with company procedures.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor the safe use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ensure staff use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report accidents, incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues promptly.
• Promote safe working practices at all times.

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
• Raise purchase requests for replenishment when required.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
• Report faulty equipment for repair or replacement.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct regular quality inspections and audits.
• Address customer complaints professionally and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with company policies and client expectations.

Administration & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning reports.
• Maintain attendance records, inspection checklists, and incident reports.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to management.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of cleaning staff.
